Import vCard Contacts into HubSpot, Salesforce & Mailchimp

Every major CRM and email marketing platform accepts CSV imports โ€” but almost none accept vCard (.vcf) files directly. The standard workflow is: export .vcf โ†’ convert to CSV โ†’ import into your CRM. This guide covers HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, and Zoho.

Step 1 โ€” Convert your VCF to CSV

  1. Go to vcftocsv.online and upload your .vcf file.
  2. Preview the contacts in the table. Check that phones, emails, and company names are correct.
  3. Click Download CSV. Save it as contacts.csv.

Import into HubSpot

  1. In HubSpot, go to Contacts โ†’ Import.
  2. Choose File from computer โ†’ select your contacts.csv.
  3. HubSpot will map columns automatically. Verify: Full Name โ†’ Name, Email โ†’ Email, Phone โ†’ Phone number, Company โ†’ Company name.
  4. Click Finish import. Contacts appear in your CRM within a few minutes.

Import into Salesforce

  1. In Salesforce, go to Setup โ†’ Data Import Wizard (or use Data Loader for large batches).
  2. Select Contacts as the object type.
  3. Upload your CSV and map the columns: Full Name โ†’ Name, Email โ†’ Email, Phone โ†’ Phone, Company โ†’ Account Name.
  4. Review the mapping and click Start Import.

Import into Mailchimp

Mailchimp imports audiences (email lists), not full contact records. You will use Email and Full Name columns:

  1. In Mailchimp, go to Audience โ†’ Import contacts โ†’ Upload a file.
  2. Upload your CSV. Map Email to the Email Address field and Full Name to the Name field.
  3. Add any custom fields (phone, company) to your audience first, then re-map.
  4. Click Complete import.

Import into Zoho CRM

  1. In Zoho CRM, go to Contacts โ†’ Import.
  2. Select From file and upload your CSV.
  3. Map fields: Full Name โ†’ Last Name, Email โ†’ Email, Phone โ†’ Phone, Company โ†’ Account Name, Job Title โ†’ Title.
  4. Click Import.
